Donna Spence
Donna Spence – So, Who Am I?
I am a self-confessed "multi-passionate" woman. While many know me from my 30-year career in the entertainment business as a Comedienne and Compere, I have worn many hats in my life. Today, I truly feel the value of every single one of them, as they have set me up to enjoy a truly fulfilling mid-life experience that combines laughter with deep, holistic healing.
My Life on Stage
For three decades, I truly loved giving a voice to life experiences. My comedy was never just about jokes; it was about connection. I loved comfortably poking fun at stereotypes to make people feel good about themselves. My goal was always to elevate my audience through shared understanding.
The most beautiful moments for me were never the applause, but when people would come up to me afterwards to say, *“I knew that you could feel me.”* On stage, you become a therapist; you become their everything. That experience taught me that health is laughter, and laughter is health.
My Healing Journey
While I still host events, my passion has expanded into championing a healthier lifestyle. This isn't a new fad for me; my experience with plant-based healing began in childhood.
At eight years old, I suffered from psoriasis. When conventional treatments failed, my mother turned to her Jamaican heritage. She used targeted botanical blends—utilizing the power of coconut, lime, and essential oils—coupled with nutritional adjustments. This holistic approach brought effective relief and left an indelible impression on me.
Years later, I had to reawaken that knowledge. I faced my own challenging health battle with fibroid complications, and subsequently spent intense periods caring for my parents as they navigated Parkinson’s and diabetes.
I had to learn to listen to the whispers my body was telling me. Eventually, those whispers began to yell, and with my life on the line due to fibroids, I made a massive lifestyle shift. I realized that my personal experience with the transformational power of botanical extracts was the key to moving from illness to sustained wellness.
Living Whole
I used to think that you had to be "skinny" before you could be of service to the world. I have since re-learned that there is a vast difference between looking skinny and actually healing from the inside out.
True wellness is about making yourself whole with all that is on your plate. It means being at peace with what’s really going on in your life.
My changes have become enjoyable, and I am finally feeling whole. Now, I am dedicated to sharing that same sense of wholeness with you.
Welcome — I'm so glad you're here.
